[Basil is a young human who wasn't always human.

He's actually the product of a person's dream, you see. In the realm of dreamers, beings are born when they meet with people from the "real world". These are usually fleeting experiences that never really last long, things that are often said "not to take so seriously". Basil did his best to follow that. In the dream world, he just enjoyed things in the short-term, did mostly what he wanted, and was quite a selfish being. He wasn't unkind, but he wasn't exactly likeable either.

Despite this attitude, he had many wonderful times together with one dreamer in particular, eventually falling in love like a fool who couldn't push away his own wishes. It wasn't allowed because dreams always ends. But hopes are quite a cruel thing and he couldn't help but enjoy it anyway. But a dream is still a dream. He would never be able to reach what was considered "reality" and although, he had accepted that long time ago, he had forgotten it for a brief moment. She, too, would one day just stop coming. He should have expected that.

But still, he was someone who became quite pessimistic.

But one day, a mischievous fairy of some sort decided to give him a human form and kidnapped him into reality. A soul was given that helps him maintain his position in the real world, and he can't actually die until the soul is taken away from him.

So in return he had been harassing fairies with stupid tricks as petty revenge, ESPECIALLY ONE IN PARTICULAR...]
