There are a few reasons. The first is... I'm a rather greedy person, who puts my desires above others. The second is, the same can be said for most faeries. Don't you agree?

But this is why most faeries live by some rather strict rules, you see. That's why the Seelie Court exists, to give a hierarchy to those competing desires.

It makes you sound like a petulant child. Rules are typically in place to make life easier for all involved... for instance, there's a rule for faeries not to fall in love with humans. It never ends well.

Look, what I mean is ... back when I was part of that dreamland, back there, your roles are constantly changing so the rules were you shouldn't fall outside of those roles. Be the girlfriend, be the cat, be the killer, be the background noise, whatever. It's pointless to have feelings for humans when you have to follow these roles, same sort of rule, it messes things up.

But at one point I didn't follow the rules, you know why? I couldn't help it. One moment I was trying to be cool, the next I found myself madly in love with someone that could disappear at any second. I wasn't suppose to even be in her dream for that long, but still, I broke the rules and got to date her for as long as I could. It was worth it even though it also sucked. It sucked a lot by the way.

That's what I mean though, get it? I'm not looking to get hit by a bus, but I sure don't want to just do nothing for the rest of my living human days.
